Myth v. Reality: Review Attorneys Will Sabotage A Mediated Agreement


Mediation friendly review attorneys are mindful of all the hard work and reasoned compromises that have gone into reaching a mediated settlement.  The job of a “review attorney” is to make sure that the terms reached during mediation are complete and easily understood.  The “review attorney” is a check on the client’s ability to act with self-determination and to make sure the parties are not setting themselves up for failure by agreeing to terms that are going to be overly burdensome or unrealistic.
